What is the Externship?

A four-week programme where you work on a realistic project in a team of three or four. Your contributions become a record of your skills.

Is it full-time?

No. The externship is part-time and runs for four weeks.

Which tracks are open?

Software runs in October–November 2026. Marketing & Sales applications are open. Early applications are open for Data, Machine Learning, and Project Manager, starting in January 2027.

Is it only for software engineers?

No. You can also apply for Marketing & Sales, Data, Machine Learning, or Project Manager. Choose the track that fits the work you want to do.

How do teams work?

You share tasks, discuss decisions, and review work with your teammates. An AI project manager helps coordinate assignments.

What can employers see?

Your contribution to the project, how you approached problems, and how you worked with others. Merit records this from the work and feedback.

How much does it cost?

Free for individuals and nonprofits.

Do I need a job or a degree?

No. Students, people starting or changing careers, and people looking for work can apply. Your application helps us find a suitable cohort.

How do I apply?
